History of Mid-State Electronics

“Back in the 3rd grade while at Arden Elementary School I became fascinated & fell in love with electronics while putting together radios kits. After that I became interested in 2-way radios and CB’s.  Upon graduating from Columbia High School I got a job working as an installer of 2-Way Radios at Con-Tec Labs on Rosewood Drive.  After that I opened Mid-State Electronics in 1961 in the 2nd story of a 2-story house on Colonial Drive near Columbia College.  Starting out-- business was conducted over a pay telephone and I specialized in selling CB radios.  From there the business has flourished and expanded so MSE can now offer hundreds of top quality products and a huge variety of services. I am still in love with electronics. “
