Kenwood radio worked better than the Motorola
I contacted Les about a problem I was having transmitting for my office; which is located in a metal building. I explain to him that I had no problem hearing people, it was that they (depending on their location on campus) could not hear me. I would need to get up and go outside for them to hear me. He wanted to know what radio I was currently using. I was using a Motorola CP-200. We discussed several options that might solve my problem, one of which was to try a different radio. Les said he had a Kenwood radio that would transmit though concrete, metal, etc. without any problem. I purchased the Kenwood TK-3202L and I can now transmit from my office without going outside without any problems. I also can hear what people are saying a lot clearer with this radio. I would recommend the Kenwood TK-3202L to anyone looking for a good quality radio.

Bob,
Just a short note to say thanks for all that you and your company, Mid-State Electronics, has done for The South Carolina Coroners Association.
We contacted you about two-way radio communication for our Mass Disaster Response Trailers and you provided a solution for us to use that was extremely affordable. I hope we never have to use these trailers, but if we do I know that the radios you provided will do the job for us.
Thanks again,

I have been in Columbia for the last 5 years working in our corporate office that supports our night club business. We rely heavily on our radios inside the club to communicate. We have used Mid-State for all our needs. They have been great business partners over the past 5 years. They are extremely responsive and great to work with.

Thanks Mid-State,
The HYT TC-610 water resistant radios I purchased for the Aquarium Department are awesome! They are light and compact, and the transmission quality is great. I’m hoping we won’t have to put their “water resistance” to the test too soon, but I am anticipating that their ruggedness will be of great benefit in our department. I thank you again for your personal attention and help with picking out a good radio, and giving us a good price on them as well!
